The Vendors

The most important people in the park. The most activity on the Oklahoma Redhawks board a few years back was regarding the firing of Stan the Beerman.

Kiosks

The kiosks face the concourse, so you can get the goodies without missing a thing on the field.

Entrance to Harbor Park

My co-author on Small Ballyard, Chris, and his grandfather, Billy Brown of Stroud, OK.

Oops, I think he heard me

Hey, I wouldn’t yell obscenities at Riptide

Riptide does his schtick

Another kid outruns Riptide around the bases. Sheesh, you’d think this guy would train for this.

Mechanical Park

One of the things I really like about Harbor Park is all the machinery: the cranes, the tugboats, the railroad. Baseball reflects America, and America is mechanical. Just ask Marcel Duchamp.

Doodles Meets Riptide

That’s Mr. Doodles to you, padner. I will say this for Riptide, he spends a lot of energy and time with the kids. You don’t have to go looking for him. No Bad Santa here.

Nice Crowd

They got there late, but it was a good opening night at Harbor Park

The Glow of the Field

I’ve always liked this visual, when night has fallen and the concourse is dark.

Between Innings

The activity between innings is like the activity between scenes in a play.
